Simplify Course Creation in 3 Steps
Creating an online course can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! In this week’s episode of The Online Business AMA Podcast, I answered Ben’s question about simplifying the course creation process. Here’s what I shared:
Focus on a Specific Problem: Instead of creating a broad course, focus on solving one key issue for your audience. For example, “How to Land Your First 5 Clients in 30 Days” is much clearer and easier to execute than “How to Build a Business.”
Create a Simple Outline: Break your course into clear modules. Start with the outcome you want students to achieve, then reverse-engineer the steps to get them there.
Deliver Live: Pre-sell your course and teach it live to a small group of beta testers. You’ll get paid while you create and receive feedback to improve your content.
Bonus Tip: Use simple tools like Google Docs for outlining and Loom or Zoom for recording. Platforms like SheOwns or Kajabi make it easy to host and manage your course when it’s ready.
